Amalia Ruggiero
President/Founder
A recognized leader in the Woman's Hair Replacement industry, Amalia began her journey 15 years ago after her experience of supporting family members experiencing the appearance related side effects of cancer treatments. Experiencing firsthand the devastating and traumatic effects of hair loss on women, Amalia opened her centre in 1994 specializing in women's medical and genetic related hair loss.
As the founder, Amalia has inspired her team of specialists who are committed to restoring each woman and child's image, self confidence and dignity with individualized hair loss solutions.
A 13 year volunteer with the Look Good Feel Better Program, where she teaches women how to manage the appearance related side effects of cancer and its treatments. She is the founding board member of the Capilia Group, offering state of the art solutions for hair loss and prevention.
Amalia has received the Civic Award of Recognition from the City of Mississauga, is the founding director for the Angel Hair for Kids Program, a Canadian non profit program, that provides wigs to financially disadvantaged children who lost their hair due to medical treatments. Amalia is a frequent guest speaker at women's forums conducting seminars and training on hair loss and self-image and has been featured in national print and broadcast media.
